"Fake," he interprets, because that's pretty much what it was. He's not surprised that her feelings kind of upset Caleb, because if he thinks about it, sure he gets a little upset himself, but it's nothing he can't handle, as far as he's concerned.

"You definitely never have to do that while you're here," he guarantees. "It's just easier, and nothing ever comes of it. I mean, except maybe a jealous dude or two lingering outside of this place, but that happens," he says dismissively.
